Music, hats, and smiles

Daddy got Ronnie a xylophone, and he has been enjoying it very much! The boy loves music, he always has a beat going either with his hands or his feet.

It was hard to get Ronnie to keep his hat on, so I put it on backwards and goofed around with him in order to get a photo.

One of my cousins made this hat for Elise. I LOVE it!!!!!

Ronnie's rainbow

I have not been able to blog as much as I would like to, so I am going to try to catch up here and there when I can. I took these photos a few weeks ago when we saw the most amazing rainbow in the sky during a rainy day. It was so big that I could not get the whole thing in one shot. If you look closely at the close up shot of it, you can see just above it that it was a double rainbow. I was SO excited to be able to show Ronnie his first rainbow! Many of his books we read have rainbows in them and he always points to them. So as you can see in the first photo, he was pointing at it and exclaming "dat!!" Ronnie's language for "what's that". :)

Bathroom project

Our house is painted all one color (kind of a gold/yellow), except the dining room which is sage green.  It was painted this way when we bought it, and I like yellows and greens.  So we just left it this way and have not changed it.  Then when I was pregnant with Ronnie, I painted the nursery a pretty yellow color, so that was the first room to be changed.  And I have loved it ever since.  My neighbor is going to help me paint Elise's room, I'll post about it later when we get started.  I am very excited to do it!  But in the meantime, I was itching to paint some more.  So I decided to paint our small bathroom since that is an easy project for me to tackle by myself.  Below are the before and after photos.  I am LOVING the funky green color!!  Can't wait to get some new towels, a rug, and new things to hang on the wall to complete it!

So what do you, my followers, think of my choice of color?  And what would you put on the walls?

Photos from this week

Since I missed Wordless Wednesday (again) here are some photos from this week to make up for it. :)
